Evidence-Based Pet
How to use real science to give your pet the best care you can.

Welcome to the Evidence-Based pet! This blog is dedicated to the science of pet care. In this brave new era of the internet and social media, we have access to more information than ever, but there's an increasing amount of myth, hysteria and pseudoscience out there around pet care. Some is harmless, some is unhelpful and some can be actively dangerous.
This blog looks at the science behind pet care, from decades-old studies to cutting-edge research, to try and help you understand the best ways to look after your pet. This covers medical care (of course) but also other areas like nutrition, husbandry (housing and environment) and exercise.
